DO I NEED TO BE SOME INCREDIBLE SOCCER PLAYER TO PLAY IN AN ULTIMATE FOOS TOURNAMENT?
Heavens, No! Players of all skill sets and abilities are more than welcome. Ultimate Foos is a sporting experience unlike anything you’ve ever played and we want everyone to enjoy it. Join the fun!
CAN I REGISTER MORE THAN 8 PLAYERS OR LESS THAN 6 ON MY TEAM ROSTER?
No. Due to event logistics and our intention to maintain a fair competitive environtment, teams must consist of 6-8 players.
ARE THERE AGE RESTRICTIONS?
Players must be 14 years or older. Keep in mind that the price of registration is the same regardless of the ages of team members. Players under 18 are required to have a legal guardian co-sign thier waiver.
WHO CAN REGISTER ON TEAMS, AND ARE THERE AGE OR SKILL LEVEL GROUPS?
Ultimate Foos tournaments are open field, meaning ladies and gents of any age 14 or older may participate on a team of any personnel makeup and there are no age or skill level groups. There is one exception: no professional players are allowed to compete.
WHEN DO TEAM ROSTERS FREEZE?
Team rosters freeze at the time your team is checked in at the event. You cannot add any players after that time, for any reason, nor can you swap players in/out during the tournament. Any desired changes must be finalized online before the event or at the time of check-in.
AM I AWARDED ANYTHING FOR WINNING THE ULTIMATE FOOS TOURNAMENT?
Absolutely! We want to crown the best teams in each city! The top 4 teams, known as the Foos Four, will receive prizes.
WHAT TIME SHOULD MY TEAM ARRIVE, AND WHEN IS TEAM CHECK-IN?
The earliest you will be allowed to check-in and enter the gates is 1 hour in advance of your first match time on each day of competition. We recommend arriving at least 45 minutes prior to your first match time. This will allow you ample time to check-in, enter the event, and await your official call and report to the field of play. Teams must check-in with all of their registered players prior to their first match each day or risk forfeit.
WHERE IS TEAM CHECK-IN?
As you enter the Ultimate Foos event grounds look for signage dircting you to the check-in area.
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING WITH ME TO TEAM CHECK-IN?
Verification of team registration and individual waiver completion sent to you via email. You can present this on your mobile device or you can print it before arriving at the tournament and bring it with you. In the case one or more of your team members has not completed a waiver they’ll need to do so upon check-in at the event.
WHAT DO I WEAR AND WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED TO BRING?
All players are required to wear a jersey, shorts, socks and cleats or turf shoes. With those items, you’re all set, no need for anything else. You may wear team uniforms if you’d like, but the Ultimate Foos staff will have jerseys for your team to use if needed.
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN MY REGISTRATION?
Each registered player will receive a 2017 limited edition Ultimate Foos Tournament t-shirt! All players will be emailed roughly 10 days prior to the tournament with check-in details. Each team is guaranteed at least two matches played.
CAN SPECTATORS ATTEND ULTIMATE FOOS MATCHES?
You bet! Friends, family and others are welcome to come watch matches and cheer their favorite teams on. Spectator areas will be designated at each tournament.
WHAT HAPPENS IF THERE IS BAD WEATHER?
Rain or shine, game on! If there are major weather warnings in your city during the weekend of the event, check the city event webpage, and stay tuned for emails with updates.
WHERE SHOULD I PARK AT THE EVENT?
You will be notified via email with detailed parking and arrival instructions about 10 days before the event . We’ll also communicate this information on the specific event page of our website. Make sure you are prepared for a nominal parking fee of up to $10 to be charged by the venue upon arrival. Other parking details will be communicated via email on a need-to-know basis.
ARE THERE REFUNDS?
If an event is held as advertised, we cannot issue refunds. The logistics of setting up and planning the event make it impossible. Just make sure you’re all set before signing up. If for some reason your plans change you can
AM I ABLE TO STORE EQUIPMENT OR BAGS AT THE EVENT?
No, we do not provide coat check or locker storage. Any gear you and your team bring in will be your responsibility. For a list of acceptable items allowed through the gates, please see
WHAT TYPES OF PERSONAL ITEMS ARE NOT PERMITTED INSIDE AN ULTIMATE FOOS TOURNAMENT EVENT?
You man not bring the following types of items into a UF tournament:
- Coolers or backpacks with or without wheels larger than 24″ (61 cm) long x 15″ (38 cm) wide x 18″ (46 cm) high. Coolers required for medication are permitted.
- Alcoholic beverages
- Weapons of any kind or object that appear to be weapons (toy guns, toy blasters, squirt guns, etc.)
- Glass containers
- Pets (unless they are service animals, defined as any dog to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability)
- Fireworks/Smoke Machines/Fog Machines
- Illegal Drugs
- Horns, Whistles, Noisemakers
- Large Misting Fans (Handheld misting fans are approved)
- Additional items may also not be permitted inside UF tournaments. Please use your best judgment and do not bring anything that may be potentially harmful or disruptive. Anything in question, please leave at home or store in your vehicle.
- Professional Photography and Recording Equipment:
*Professional photographers with professional cameras or recording equipment, who are spectating or participating with the intent to take photographs or recordings of people, Ultimate Foos properties for professional purposes must make prior arrangements with Ultimate Foos Media Relations.
